About Us
Be Good Animal Rescue Albania was born from a heartfelt moment.
What started as a simple vacation from Norway turned into a life-changing mission.
During our trip to Albania, we were heartbroken to see the number of animals suffering on the streets — hungry, injured, alone. As lifelong animal lovers, we couldn’t turn our backs. Instead, we decided to take action.
We began by helping just a few animals: feeding them, offering basic care, finding shelter. But the need was far greater than we could have imagined. That’s when we founded Be Good Animal Rescue Albania — to create real, lasting change for the voiceless.
Our mission is built on compassion and action. We rescue, rehabilitate, and rehome abandoned animals. We work to provide food, shelter, medical care, and love. We also support people who can no longer care for their pets due to hardship, by helping rehome or take in their animals with dignity and care.
Today, we are building a growing network of volunteers, vets, foster families, and supporters — both in Albania and internationally — to give animals a second chance at life. We believe kindness is a language all creatures understand, and we are committed to being a force for good — one paw at a time.
Our mission
To rescue, rehabilitate, and rehome abandoned and mistreated animals in Albania — giving them a second chance at life.
We are dedicated to:

Providing emergency rescue and veterinary care for animals in need

Offering safe shelter, food, and rehabilitation for stray and abused animals

Assisting individuals who are unable to care for their pets due to financial hardship or other life circumstances, by helping rehome or take over the care of their animals

Facilitating responsible adoptions locally and internationally

Promoting spaying/neutering to reduce overpopulation

Educating communities about animal welfare, compassion, and responsible pet ownership

Collaborating with local and global partners to create long-term solutions to end animal suffering in Albania
